Smile

In college my emphasis was in photography and painting- I have always enjoyed photography, but these days just keep it as a little hobby. I recently took pics of my 3 cutesie nieces, here are some of my faves :)

Loving some D.C.

Alex and I just spent the weekend celebrating our great friends Tom and Kathleen's wedding in Washington D.C. It was fabulous! I havn't been to D.C. since 6th grade, so it was great to venture out and eat at some fab spots. These were my 2 favorite- make sure to look them up next time you're in the country's capital!

Piola. Great pizza, lots of options, sweet prices!

Matchbox. Super trendy, unique menu. I'm all about a restaurant's atmosphere- and this one got it right!

I heart PUCCI

One of my favorite designers since birth (not really, but my life has reflected the colorful patterns). I am just obsessed with every piece of clothing he produces, the colors, the patterns, the cut, fit of clothing..... and his designs are ever evolving. From time to time my paintings have become 'pucci-esque', and I take that as quite the compliment.

Drooling over Pucci in NYC..... maybe one day :)

Design Dreams

Since I became more involved with the world of design, I am always planning my next room! Alex and I are apartment hunting, and though he has forbidden me from painting another apartment (he didn't really enjoy repainting a dark navy blue bedroom back to white)- I still plan to compromise and get an 'accent wall' PER ROOM! So lately my thoughts have been on my next living room- here are my thoughts: I have an awesome dk brown 'library sofa', I'm really into gray walls right now, and to top it off my sister and sister in law purchased me beautiful bright colorful fabric from china for me to make pillows out of! I can't wait to put my thoughts into action (hopefully sooner than later)....

How much is that doggy in the window......roof roof

Well as my job hunt continues, as does my thinking of "what do I want to do....." So today I applied for a 'visual stylist' position. For anyone who does not know what that means, they are the fabulous people that are responsible for making stores look pretty and catching your attention as you walk by that window. By far the most fabulous windows I have ever seen (of course closest to my heart of the ones of 24e. in Savannah!!! (www.24estyle.com)) are the ones in NYC, Bergdorf Goodman to be more specific. I have always been a sucker for all things metallic- so this window really got me. The aluminum tables by the way are a personal favorite of mine from 24e. as well- the ones we sold were eco- friendly, made from recycled aluminum cans and cast in sand. I passed one up at a flea market before I knew what they were- and I kick myself daily......
